Hi, we’re Betty and Leo! Leo is originally from Cuba, and I’m from Mexico. We’ve been living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for several years now, and we’re excited to share our passion for cooking with you.
After studying culinary arts, we owned a restaurant in Mexico that blended Cuban and Mexican cuisine, bringing together the best flavors from both cultures.
Nina’s Street Food was born out of love and hope after a tragic and life- changing event. Our daughter Nina, while out pursuing her passion for running, was struck by a speeding truck near our neighborhood. As a result, she suffered multiple fractures and a severe traumatic brain injury. Her healing journey continues to require extensive therapy and rehabilitation. This tragic accident involving our Nina inspired us to reimagine our journey, transforming a moment of pain into a labor of love.
